Hot foam and hot water for weed control: A comparison

چکیده
Thermal weed control plays an important role in managing weeds synthetic herbicide-free systems, particularly organic agriculture and urban areas where herbicides are prohibited. This study compares the impact on of increased doses hot water foam (i.e. 0, 0.67, 1.67, 3.33, 5.00, 6.67 8.33 kg m–2). The were applied using same machine. temperatures, effectiveness, regrowth after death aboveground vegetative tissues, dry biomass 30 days treatments studied two experimental fields with a different composition Site I II). results showed that difficult to control, such as Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers., Digitaria sanguinalis Scop. Taraxacum officinale Weber, like all other species initial populations experiments, died lower compared water. Adding made it possible required dose by at least 2.5-fold used alone. By insulating weeds, led higher peak temperatures slower temperature decay, thus determining effective Starting from 11 16 (for II, respectively), there no statistically significant differences between applied. Water Temperature From Hot Water Outlets in a Major Public Hospital: How Hot is Our Water?
OBJECTIVES To measure the water temperature issuing from a representative sample of patient-accessible outlets around the Royal Adelaide Hospital. To initiate an audit cycle in the event of unacceptably high water temperatures to ensure their reduction. METHODS Samples were taken of water issuing from hot taps, showers, and hand hygiene basins in patient areas throughout the hospital, encompa...

متن کاملHydrophobicity--getting into hot water.
In his famous 1959 review, Walter Kauzmann clarified important features of the thermodynamic stabilities of proteins. The hydrophobic effect is recognised as an important contributor to the stability of proteins and an important determinant of their structural patterns. As generally understood, it depends on the unusual properties of cold water and its interactions with nonpolar solutes. Here w...
متن کاملSome Effects Hot Water Treatment
The role of ratoon stunting disease in causing yield losses under fully irrigated conditions in the lowveld is as yet undefined. Hot water treatment at 50:5OC for 2 hr was shown to adversely affect germination and reduce stalk population in certain varieties. The optimum age for hot water treatment of NCo 310 and NCo 376 seedcane was found to be 11-12 months. Exposure of hot water treated cane ...
